Students' Testimonials

Priyadarshini Kamat : current student of IIT (Bombay)
I chose Golden Gate to IIT because I wanted concept-based learning and not just competition-oriented and I made the right choice. In fact, Golden Gate to IIT is a nice blend of both. The faculty is highly qualified and is an expert at their teaching job. They are friendly and provide personal attention to each and every one. A limited batch is a great advantage here. Also, they give timely assignments and tests with the appropriate level of difficulty to help us strengthen our concepts and help us prepare for the exams. Due to all these things, my basic foundation of subjects improved. The overall two years journey enhanced my personality in many ways. So I would recommend Golden Gate to IIT to all who aim to crack the engineering entrance examinations.
-Priyadarshini Kamat

Aryan Gosavi : current student of IIT (Gandhinagar)
(School: Parle Tilak Vidyalaya - ICSE)
My name is Aryan Gosavi. I was a student of Golden Gate to IIT in the years 2019-2021, and what a magical experience it was! The people I met there have forever influenced my life, and the lessons I learned there played a quintessential role in my clearing the JEE (Advanced) and gaining a seat in IIT Gandhinagar.
JEE (Advanced) is in itself a very daunting examination and we need a guide to help us make the proper effort to hit the bullseye. I found those guides in the professors at Golden Gate.
Professor Antarkar’s Maths lessons made the subject easier to understand. Professor Karmarkar’s Physics lessons made me love Physics, while Professor Tarun Ahirwar’s Chemistry lessons made Chemistry enjoyable. Their collective efforts made learning fun and enjoyable.
The experience was also enhanced by the interaction with the fellow students of the class and the strong bonds I formed with them.
This programme not only taught me lessons to succeed in the JEE(Advanced) but also taught me various life-skills that would benefit me long after.
And for that I am eternally grateful.
-Aryan Gosavi

Shreyas Nadkarni : current student of IIT (Bombay)
(School: Parle Tilak Vidyalaya - ICSE)

The Golden Gate Programme was not only rigorous but also enjoyable. The striking fact about the course is that basic concepts of the subject are stressed upon and not just the problems and ‘short cuts’ to solve them. Not only are the professors dedicated and approachable, but the homework, assignments and short tests also provide regular practice. The variety in the tests (part tests, full tests and online assignments) helps you judge your own progress. The sequence of topics is also extremely well-set according to the level of difficulty. The intensity of teaching is such that concepts taught once are not forgotten over a considerable period of time due to which the heavy syllabus of the JEE becomes manageable. On a personal note, I consider joining this programme as one of my best ever decisions and the concepts learned there helped me not only in the entrance exams but also inside IIT.
-Shreyas Nadkarni

Atharva Varde : current student of IIT (Bombay)
(School: Parle Tilak Vidyalaya - ICSE)
My experience with the Golden Gate Programme was extremely rewarding! The entire faculty here takes tremendous efforts on each and every one of the students. Efforts are made not just to prepare the student for the JEE, but also to inculcate a love in the student for each subject. In Mathematics, the syllabus is extremely well structured. The short tests at the end of every class, the exhaustive assignments and the monthly tests ensure that the student will be comfortable with every topic in the syllabus. In Physics, the classwork repetition exercise, the online assignments and the screencasts to supplement the regular lectures help in achieving a thorough understanding of the subject. In Chemistry, the teachers ensure that the topics taught are understood well, and give a lot of practice problems. Furthermore, the detailed comparison of our monthly test results with those of previous students who cleared the JEE is very helpful in showing you exactly where you stand. I would wholeheartedly recommend this programme for future JEE aspirants.
- Atharva Varde

Chinmay Parab : current student of BITS (Goa)
(School: Orion School, Vile Parle - East)
Golden Gate to IIT is an excellent course, where learning is a pleasure. The limited batch size makes the highly supportive faculty easily accessible to the students, helping to clear their doubts. The elementary concepts, even those which are difficult to understand, are explained in a simple and effective manner. There is equal emphasis on understanding the subject and learning to apply these concepts to problems. Finding various alternative methods to solve the same problem is encouraged as well. There are regular assignments and homework, ensuring that you stay in touch with whatever you have learned. Various skills such as time management and fault analysis are taught which help you to improve in the long run. There are monthly tests to track your progress throughout the course. I recommend this programme to students who want to learn and enjoy the subjects.
– Chinmay Parab

Tejas Sakhalkar : current student of IIT (Bombay)
(School: R.B. Shirke High School, Ratnagiri)
Golden gate class was like a family to me. The small batch and consequent personal attention of every teacher repeatedly kept us focused. The faculties are the best I would say. All are highly educated and have long teaching experience. Also the main focus of the programme is to clarify the concepts and then to apply them in problems. Another great thing is that we had the same teachers throughout the course, from the start to the end. That made doubt-solving easy and we felt free to connect anytime. Test papers, classwork and homework have excellent quality and the practice-exam environment gives a feel of the actual JEE exam. Overall my experience was wonderful and I strongly recommend the Golden Gate to IIT programme to all concerned.
- Tejas Sakhalkar

Srushti Vanjare : current student of VJTI
(School: Bombay Cambridge School, Andheri - East )
After 10th standard there was a huge confusion for my parents and me about the selection of classes and we finally selected Golden Gate to IIT, which was one of the best decisions ever! The professors here are very friendly and approachable. The small size of the batch enables every student to get personal attention. Along with their noteworthy guidance in the subject the professors also motivate and guide you in adopting appropriate study methods to cope with the tough curriculum. The difficult entrance test ensures that you get the best peer group while studying. There is a student friendly environment which make sure that every student not only knows the subject but understands it well. The large number of assignments, daily tests, home works and monthly tests along with their detailed solutions ensure regular practice. In short Golden Gate to IIT helps you not only in understanding the subject but in the entire preparation of IIT-JEE as a whole.
– Srushti Vanjare

Yogen Borkar : current student of BITS (Goa)
(School: Parle Tilak Vidyalaya - English Medium)

I joined Golden Gate after hearing great things about it from my cousins and my opinion is also not very different. The learned faculty were always willing to help us clear our doubts and difficulties and were very approachable. The teaching was directed so as to help us understand the concepts and then apply them in a problem, rather than just giving us a bunch of formulae. The personalised attention we got, and a knack for teaching multiple methods for the same problem are worth a mention. The short tests conducted after lectures helped us get used to examination atmosphere. In short, Golden Gate is a gateway to golden opportunities.
– Yogen Borkar

Saransh Gokhale : current student of BITS (Goa)
(School: Parle Tilak Vidyalaya - English Medium)

I joined Golden Gate after getting great reviews about it from my cousins, who have made it to IIT and ICT themselves. Golden Gate has a very good faculty and a very convenient location. The lectures are regular. The tests are well planned too. The course helped me prepare for my JEE, BITSAT & MHTCET and equipped me with the I needed tools for taking my exams with the best of my abilities. Would definitely recommend it for future aspirants.
– Saransh Gokhale

Tanvi Apte : current B.Chem. student at ICT
(School: Lilavatibai Podar High School - ICSE section, Santacuz - West)

Getting into a notable engineering institution is a Herculean task and therefore appropriate guidance from faculty becomes a primary requirement. After I joined Golden Gate to IIT I realized that the preparation for the entrance examinations though rigorous, can be a fulfilling experience. Dedicated faculty, their positive approach towards students and small class size ensured better interaction. The emphasis was not only on the score but also on the understanding of concepts. The rich learning experience you are bound to get at Golden Gate will surely help you achieve your dreams.
– Tanvi Apte

Gaurav Dalmia : current student of IIT (Gandhinagar)
(School: Orion School, Vile Parle - East)
The Golden Gate Programme is unique due to its well-crafted features. I found this programme immensely beneficial to me. IIT-JEE is an examination which questions your capacities on the lines of how well you know rather than the usual what all you know. Thus, just knowing things without understanding them is completely futile in such an examination. This, according to me is the basis of the Golden Gate Programme. The programme has been structured so perfectly, that it not only prepared me for the JEE but also taught me the ideology of ‘how to learn’ which, I believe is an integral part of any educational path chosen. Also, smaller size of batch promotes individual attention to everyone and a healthy discussion amongst students and professors is encouraged. This helped me in clearing my doubts on every subject and such discussions gave a new depth to my understanding in the subjects. The merits of the programme also includes its schedule as the total class time for a week is divided in 6 days 2.5 hours each, rather than 5-6 hours for 3 days in a week.
– Gaurav Dalmia

Shriya Marathe : current student of BITS (Goa)
(School: Parle Tilak Vidyalaya - ICSE)
The Golden Gate experience so far has been absolutely overwhelming and fulfilling! I am in awe of the functioning of this programme. The teachers are extremely helpful, understanding and cooperative. The numerous Maths assignments are very beneficial. In Physics the screencasts are complementary to the regular lectures and we have the amazing facility of watching them over and over again. The segregation of Chemistry portion into two parts makes it easier to understand and makes us feel more comfortable with the subject. The professors go out of their way to provide extra information and this really helps to expand our horizons. In a nutshell Golden Gate to IIT is an amazing programme and it was one of my best decisions to choose this class.
– Shriya Marathe

Pratulya Shah : current student of BITS (Pilani)
(School: C.N.M.S. - Vile Parle - W)
After Std 10 I was confused as to which classroom program to join to train for the JEE. I decided on joining Golden Gate to IIT because it seemed to be the one program which promised individual attention to each student. And in my time at the program it has lived up to its promise. The classrooms are small with a limited batch size to facilitate individual contact between the student and the teacher. The teachers are very good and are able to convey the subtleties/intricacies of their subjects with supreme skill. It is indeed a testament to their skill that I have never felt burdened or bored during class hours. The teachers also welcome doubts during and after class hours. Discussions in the class improve our understanding and grasp over Maths, Physics & Chemistry which is so essential to be successful in any professional course. The regular assignments, quizzes, short tests are a good revision of seemingly elementary concepts applied in different ways and the result and thorough analysis of a student’s test paper sent to each parent via email gives a clear indication of our strengths and weaknesses. GGIIT is a unique programme and the results of this brilliantly designed course are there for everyone to see. I would like to conclude by saying that joining GG is a decision I have never regretted.
– Pratulya Shah

Mrunmayi Mungekar : ex-student of IIT-Bombay
(School: Parle Tilak Vidyalaya - English Medium)

In Std. 10, I considered many institutes and I finally decided on Golden Gate to IIT. I assure you, that I have never regretted my decision. I had been attending classes in other notable institutes in my school years, but nowhere else I have been as satisfied as I have been in the one year since I joined Golden Gate. Golden Gate to IIT is an excellent course. The faculty here is extremely supportive. Individual attention is imparted to every student, thus, nurturing progress. Students can go to the faculty for every doubt, every difficulty which is immediately attended to. Moreover, every sir or teacher is accessible by phone or email throughout the day. Learning here is quite enjoyable and is an extreme help towards studying for competitive exams like the JEE. I assure every student aspiring for IIT or other notable engineering institutes that considering Golden Gate as the most preferred option after class X will be one of their best decisions.

Nidhay Achrekar : current student of BITS (Goa)
(School: Shri Madhavrao Bhagwat High School, Vile Parle)
Golden Gate to IIT (GG) is not only a golden gate to crack the JEE but it is also a golden gate to learn the very basic fundamentals of the three subjects, namely physics, chemistry and maths and its application. The faculty here is extremely student friendly. The elementary concepts, even those which are difficult to understand, are expressed in simple and very effective manner. The stress here is laid much more on understanding the subject rather than just scoring marks. Apart from this, the professors are easily approachable and they are available for help at all times. The weekly homework, assignments, tests, quizzes, etc. gives a brief idea about the extent of one’s preparations whereas the monthly part tests and full tests give a ditto reflection of one’s position in the competition. After every test, the results are sent via email which contains the approximate cut-off of JEE (Advanced) as well as BITSAT. This helps to keep a track on our progress at the end of a month. The staff at GG is very able and they always are ready to solve any difficulty, curricular or non-curricular, to their greatest extent. Thank you.

-Nidhay Achrekar

Tejas Desai : current student of VJTI
[School: Dahisar Vidya Mandir, Dahisar]

As I live in Borivali many people recommended me to take admission in a nearby coaching institute. But I was determined to join the class which I found best. After taking into account all factors I chose Golden Gate to IIT. This class focuses on strengthening the concepts and making topics interesting. Regular tests give a realistic simulation of the JEE (Advanced). The best part of the Group Tuition Programme is that teachers are easily accessible for doubt-solving and queries. Thus I think I have taken the right decision of choosing this class.

Omkar Damle : ex-student of DAIICT, Gandhinagar
[School: Yashodham High School, Goregaon (E)]
omkar_damle.jpg Prior to my joining DAIICT, I was a student of the Golden Gate to IIT course-2014 and my experience there has been quite fantastic! The faculty members are very much student-friendly and have a stronghold over their respective subjects. The one-to-one interaction that we share with the faculty members is also quite helpful.
According to me the unique feature of this course is that it tries to create a liking for the subject as a whole along with preparing the students to tackle competitive exams. This is of very much importance if the students want to excel in engineering fields after 12th. I would strongly recommend this course to students who really want to get into IITs, BITs etc. and experience the wonderful opportunities that these institutions offer in the field of science and technology.
-Omkar Damle

Ninad Chitnis : ex-student of Sardar Patel Inst. of Technology, Andheri (W)
(School: Shri Madhavrao Bhagwat High School, Vile Parle)
ninad_chitnis.jpg A very good course with excellent faculty. All the professors are very enthusiastic to teach and even solve trivial doubts patiently. The best thing is that the entire faculty knows each student personally and the student limit of 40 ensures personal attention to each student. All of the professors are always accessible by phone or email and hence we students can solve our doubts quite easily. Another good thing is the physics screencasts that are video solutions to the tougher physics problems explained in an easy way. A lot of practice is also taken for maths while chemistry is taught in a very easy way so that it does not seem difficult at all. Overall, a definitely recommendable course for those trying for admission to IIT and other prime engineering institutes. - Ninad Chitnis

Aditya Joglekar : ex-student of DAIICT, Gandhinagar
[School: IES's Manik Vidya Mandir, Bandra (W)]
aditya_joglekar.jpg Golden Gate to IIT is not just a class. It’s something much more than it. It’s a temple dedicated to create people who love and understand science. At the same time it is ‘THE’ place to head to prepare yourself for JEE the toughest examination in the world. My experience at GG was indeed amazing. The faculty was brilliant, masters in their respective fields and were simply devoted to the art of teaching. This helped us students to grasp the intricacies of each and every topic and made sure that we applied them properly in any situation. The classroom environment is extremely conducive to the overall academic development of every student. The small size of our batch ensured that everybody got individual guidance and this enabled our professors to identity our shortcomings and rectify them. Excellent classwork materials, intensive classroom discussions, plenty of assignments, homeworks and monthly tests based on the JEE pattern made us familiar with the level of difficulty of the JEE problems and enfused self confidence. In short if you want to crack the JEE and at the same time learn something which will stay with you for the rest of your life then there nothing better than GG!

Soham Vaze : ex-student of NIT, Surathkal
(School: Balmohan Vidyamandir, Dadar)
soham_vaze.jpg Golden Gate to IIT is an extraordinarily great programme for preparation for the IIT JEE. The Professors conducting the programme are excellent professionals in their respective fields. The main aim of the course is not only the preparation for various entrance exams but also understanding concepts in each subjects proficiently. I took a tough decision of coming to Vile Parle all the way from Dadar though I had many options for the coaching classes nearby but I later realized that my decision was right. The professors kept us busy and well-prepared with the weekly assignments , homework & online tests. The monthly tests conducted were of a level comparable to the real JEE exam. And also limited class strength assured personal attention to all students. The important concepts were built up quite well. I spent 1 hour daily from my house to class and back , yet it was worth it. The course is quite rigorous and I assure you will be adequately prepared for the JEE if you attend this course & fulfill all its requirements.
So to my fellow JEE aspirants do not miss the golden opportunity to join the Golden Gate programme.

All the adjectives in the dictionary won’t be enough to describe the professors. They are just too good and we share a very friendly relationship with them. Here they emphasize on learning the subject which makes learning fun and enjoyable. The professors are available for help 24×7. They are your helpline and guides. The classroom environment is also fiercely competitive which fosters development of the competitive edge required in the exams. siddhesh_sakhalkar.jpg The two years that I spent at Golden Gate to IIT were indeed an excellent experience. Now, having completed the course, when I look back, I realize how aptly and thoughtfully the course has been designed, particularly the order in which the topics are covered. The faculty is extremely able, dedicated and more importantly very much accessible at any time of the day. The focus here is not just on clearing JEE but rather on getting our concepts right, for, the nature of the examination is such that the former without the latter is an impossibility. The weekly home works, assignments and monthly tests ensured regular practice. Also the six hour tests and prelims at the end were particularly useful in nailing the objective pattern of JEE . I can say, without doubt, that without this Golden contribution getting into IIT would still be a dream to chase.
Cheers

Aniket Mane : ex-student, BITS Goa
(School: Shri Madhavrao Bhagwat High School, Vile Parle)

aniket_mane.jpg About Golden Gate to IIT ( popularly known as GG) - I have mainly four reasons to thank GG. (which means there are many more too). Karmarkar sir developed my interest in physics, I required it badly. Sir was ready to spend as much time as required to solve my doubts. My physics improved greatly due to him. Antarkar sir inspired us to solve maths problems in simple ways. I was always confident about maths. Sir taught me how to be cautious. His problems/paper sets asked us to think twice and twice as fast b4 solving the sum. Ghosh madam developed my confidence in chem. Due to her i came to know that my chem is better than what I think it is. Also the lectures were interesting enough to make me like the subject I previously hated. Also since the batch is of 35 students, it is possible for the teachers to pay attention to our difficulties and doubts. I thank GG for an unforgetable learning experience.

Wishing you success in your future endeavours
Yours truly,
Pushkar Limaye

The Golden Gate Programme has some important features such as experienced faculty members, limited number of students in a batch and classroom teaching of 2.5 hours six days a week. This provided me with ample opportunities to interact with the faculty members and this enabled me to share a very good rapport with the professors. The personal attention that I received helped me in clarifying concepts and developing my interest in the subjects. This has not only helped me in my preparation for the JEE but also prepared a foundation for my further studies.

Explaining of concepts in detail gave me a much deeper understanding of the subjects and has helped me in all exams till date
Also, smaller size of batch promotes individual attention to everyone and a healthy discussion amongst students and professors is encouraged. This helped me in clearing my doubts on every subject and such discussions gave a new depth to my understanding in the subjects.
I would like to thank both Prof. Antarkar and Prof. Karmarkar, who have helped me immensely in my preparation for the JEE and have always been available to clear all my doubts in the subjects.
Thanks

avanika_agarwal.jpg What struck me first at GOLDEN GATE was the right kind of motivation and guidance I received. Through my teachers I got to experience brand IIT. I Truly got the feel of IIT. Each subject is taught so genuinely, with so much attention to detail, that you learn every topic and every question for the rest of your life. You feel that you are in safe hands. This is indeed the Golden Gate of IIT.
