Today, an engineering aspirant typically appears for some combination of the following examinations:
(i) the class XII Board exam.
(ii) a national-level examination called the JEE (Main). The syllabus of this examination includes both class XI and class XII Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The result of this examination is used for admission to the National Institutes of Technology. This examination is also used as a screening examination for the JEE (Advanced).
(iii) a state-level examination called the MHTCET, for admission to local engineering colleges in Maharashtra State. Syllabus - class XI + class XII Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(iv) In addition, IIT-aspirants have to take the JEE (Advanced) - formerly called the IIT-JEE - and BITS-aspirants have to appear for the BITSAT. The syllabi of both these exams is roughly the class XI & class XII Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry syllabus.
In spite of the large variety of examinations which they have to take, our students have invariably done well and entered the best institutes.
The reason is that our programme is built upon three core values, which help to take care of any entrance examination, regardless of its nature.
These 3 core values are:
(i) emphasis on learning the fundamentals of each subject
(ii)applying those fundamentals to problems.
(iii)development of non-academic skills such as time management, stress management, goal-setting and analysing one's faults and weaknesses.
